Investment Climate Programme
The CPPE undertakes regular Business Environments Surveys to identify the critical constraints to investments across sectors in the Nigerian economy. Such surveys focused on key variables in the economy. This includes surveys on the business environment for SMEs, medium enterprises and the large corporate entities. Surveys on impact of specific policies on businesses are also undertaken periodically. The essence is to generate evidenced based advocacy papers for engagements with relevant government agencies and policy makers.

This includes the following: policy research to assess the impact of policy on business, Sectoral risk analysis to guide investors, Sector Reports to give good insights into the opportunities and risks in different sectors, global economic analysis to give good insight into the global context of business.

The CPPE organises regular seminars and conferences for sensitisation, capacity building, public private dialogue and knowledge sharing Some of the conferences include SME seminars and conferences to give information on prevailing policies and to build capacity of SMEs in the management of their business, conferences on investment and economic policy issues, sectoral/sector specific conferences.

Elements of a Free Enterprise Economy
The CPPE is a proponent of free enterprise model of economic management. It thus focuses on creating awareness and driving the cause of advocacy to promote the cardinal principles of a free enterprise economy. These include economic freedom, where investors will be free to invest subject to prevailing regulations; promotion of competition and level playing field for all investors; equal opportunities for all investors; respect for contractual obligations and rule of law; respect for property rights and profit driven enterprise initiatives.
